For Employers
CEJ offers two options:
Pay-Per-Click (PPC): You’re charged when an applicant clicks to view your post.
Pay-Per-Post (PPP): You’re charged when you post a contract opportunity.
The pricing model depends on your campaign settings and eligibility.
CEJ accepts several forms of payment.
Credit/Debit Cards: Manageable directly in your account.
ACH/Wire Transfers: Secure digital payments that transfer funds directly from your bank account.
Note: ACH payments can help avoid issues like expired cards or credit limits, ensuring uninterrupted job sponsorship.
Billing occurs either:
Monthly: On the first day of each month.
Upon Reaching a Spend Threshold: When your account accrues $500 in charges, whichever comes first.
You can monitor your spending and invoices through the Billing and Invoices section in your employer dashboard.
Yes. You can control your spending by setting:
Daily Budgets: Starting at $5 per day.
Monthly Budgets: Starting at $150 per month.
This flexibility helps you manage costs based on your hiring needs and budget constraints.
To access your billing information:
Log in to your employer account.
Click on your profile icon in the top right corner.
Select Billing and Invoices from the dropdown menu.
Here, you can view your payment methods, invoices, and spending history.
If a payment fails (e.g., due to an expired credit card), CEJmay pause your job to prevent further charges. To avoid interruptions:
Ensure your payment information is up to date.
Consider setting up ACH payments that do not rely on card expirations.
Yes. You can manage your job postings directly from your employer dashboard:
Pause a Job: Temporarily stops the job from appearing in search results and halts charges.
Close a Job: Permanently removes the job from search results and stops all charges.
Pausing is useful if you need time to review applications, while closing is appropriate when the position is filled.
CEJ provides various hiring tools, such as screener questions and virtual interviews, at no additional cost. However, certain premium features or services may incur extra charges. Always review the terms and pricing before utilizing any additional services.
For Contractors
Employers will issue payments through direct deposit or your preferred method (e.g., PayPal, ACH) as specified into your account.
Contractors are typically paid in accordance with their payment terms established in their contract. Standard payment terms could be weekly, bi-weekly, 30 days, 45 days, 60 days, or in some instances, 90 days.
Yes. Submit your approved hours or invoice to the client’s accounting department to trigger payment processing.
No. Contractors are paid gross and are responsible for their own taxes, including self-employment tax, so make sure to work with an accountant to prepare for your deductions.
No, CEJ does not charge applicants to apply for contract work. Just make sure you are qualified for the job before applying. If you apply for jobs outside of your skill set, your account may be flagged as “spam.”
